The Solent Male Voice Choir invite you to join them for this evening of music theory specifically for singers, especially those of you in choirs, who can follow a score but would like to understand more about the symbols used in music.

Huw Thomas, MD of the SMVC, will take you through a score explaining all those squiggles, ticks, dots, bars, key signatures, temp marking and italian words. 

This will be a fun evening with lots of audience participation, aimed to send you home with wider understanding of a music score so that you can follow how the composer and/or your MD, actually wants you to sing the song.

This event is entirely free of charge.  All we ask is that you pre-register so that, as organisers, we have some idea of numbers attending.  Tea and coffee, with biscuits, will be available during the short midway break.  A £1 donation will help cover the cost.  There will also be a raffle to pay the hall rental.
