2025 EVENTS and CONCERTS
It is important that we have the full support of ALL the Choir for these events. Members will be asked to "sign-up" for each event, to make a committment. Huw has issued a form which all members are asked to indocate which concerts they can attend. As a Choir we cannot peform with an unbalanced four-part choir. Please sign-up ASAP.
Wednesday 25th June, 7.30pm
CURRY NIGHT
Red Chilli, North Steet, Havant.
Cost £20.00 per head - bring cash on the night - to cover buffet and tips - purchase your own drinks.
Sign up form ready at Tuesday 27th rehearsal. Limited to 20 - first come and al that. Choir members only.

Geoff Porter's Final Concert with HPMVC
St George's Church, Whyke, Chichester PO19 7AD
Geoff was once MD of SMVC and some of us will be going to this concert to celebrate Geoff's retirement from the Hampshire Police Male Voice Choir at the end of July.
Maybe we should all go in SMVC uniform?

Tuesday 8th July
FOR ONE NIGHT ONLY - we relocate to the Emsworth Community Centre, North Street, Emsworth PO10 7DD - MAP
In a room called Mountford2
Normal practice night in a different location. It is the same place we used last year.
700 bus stops close by. A few minutes walk from Emsworth Railway station. Limited car parking at the Centre, but public car park in Palmers Road (behind Tesco which is opposite the Centre).
Sunday July 20th
Stansted Summer Festival
We are singing in the two venues within the Festival.
Our sessions will be:
12.00-12.30 Lime Tree Island
14.00-14.30 Lime Tree Island
15.00-15.30 Lime Tree Island
We will be in just one location. There will be a tent in case of inclement weather
We will be singing to backing tracks.
Parking info, practice times etc. to follow.
Partners/wioves/friends/family will need to purchase their own tickets for the event. Their will be strict security for admissions and we will use a special entrance to the event. MORE INFORMATION SOON.
Saturday 15th November 7.00pm, St Faith's Church, Havant
Joint Concert
With Treharris MVC, from Wales.
THIS WILL BE A BIG CONCERT!
Practice at 6.00pm
Friday 14th Meet-and-Greet
Treharris were so welcoming to us when we went to Wales.
We should try and offer somehing similar on Friday evening and have booked Denvilles House, Emsworth Road, Havant. We will entertain our guests to a finger buffet, a short quiz and some singing. Members are welcome to bring a guest and we are asking that Members and their guests to pay towards the cost of the buffet.
Saturday 15th AFTERGLOW
Current thinking is we all squeeze into the Robin Hood, adjacent to St Faith's for a drink after the concert. We are talking to the Robin Hood about this.

Concert for Rowan's Hospice
Portchester Methodist Church, Castle Street, Portchester, PO16 9RS - MAP
Our annual sing in aid of Rowan's Hospice at the Portchester Methodist Church. One hour Christmas music and readings in support of this worthy cause.
Buffet and grand raffle afterwards.
Full Uniform.
Practice 5.30pm.
Plenty of parking adjacent.

OTHER EVENTS - we are waiting for confirmation for other events in the year.
In 2026 we have a provisional booking to sing at a St David's Day Dinner and we have been asked if we would like to participate in Portsmouth City Centenary Celebrations at a possible gala concert in May 2026 and a concert on Hayling in July. It is our 65th year so expect celebrations. We may even be going to Abbey Road Studios in London! What a place to sing Hey Jude!!!!
