Choir Notices

The Music Sub-Committee will meet on Thursday 22 November (St. Cecilia's Day!) at 7.30 pm. at 5a First Avenue, Denvilles.

This is for the 4 Section Leaders (or their deputies)  - who have been sent the choir library list - to report on the suggested music from members for 2019.
The section leaders are invited to ask their members for ideas such as during the tea break at practices.

We might even toast St. Cecilia, our patron saint!

We are looking for new volunteers for the Ladies Committee and we offer a more detailed summary of the situation here.  Over to Cherie Lewis, chair of the committee, , who is addressing the choir womenfolk...
"Since 1961 the Ladies Committee has been supporting the wellbeing of the choir by providing refreshments at practice and at concerts and making much-welcomed contributions to choir funds from regular raffles. But committee membership is now down to six, some of whom are not well, and we are becoming  desperate. Unless we can add a few names to our rota l fear that the time may come when we will have to withdraw our support. So, if you could possibly commit a couple of hours each month we would be so pleased. Either come along to our next monthly meeting (October 30) or phone me (Tel.9266 9892) and we will be delighted to fit you in!"

Peter "Raffles" Weller is looking for some extra special prizes to add some glitter( to go with the glamour) of our pulsating Christmas Hallelujah Concert on December 18, in the Pallant Hall. Lurking somewhere in a cupboard there could be that special bottle of red or that extra special malt or that extra extra special Prosecco that could become one of the star attractions of the raffle table. We all love music (or we wouldn't be here !) and there must be some classic ( not necessarily classical) CD's waiting to be re-homed in time for the festive season. So, see what you can source for our ebullient and always enthusiastic fundraiser.
